The research work currently ongoing in the Nuclear field is broad; from testing robotic equipment under irradiated situations, to working with the CERN ATLAS facilities, or thinking about current real-world problems in regards to Nuclear reactors and how science can be used to build upon this field in the future. Current ongoing issues around the world in the Nuclear field relate to disasters such as those at Chernobyl and Fukushima and how these areas can be stabilised and made safer for the future. As well as thinking about how disasters like these can be avoided through innovations of scientific research.
